It is suppose to be a universal fit, but required a bit of work to get it in. I don't know where the shifter is suppose to be in the Lark, but in the Hawk the Shifter would be to far back. The Hurst shifter is a hugh improvement on the factory setup.

I am planning the same thing, a muncie 4 speed with hurst linkage and a muncie adapter to make it look original. I have seen the adapters for sale at Ausleys for $25.00. I am not as far as you are on my rebuild but I am going to watch the responses you get. The original Super Shifter didn't have the reverse lockout lever. That is the one I have in my car now. The second one had the lever like I described above. Hurst used screw on ends that would stay were you put them . ford also used rubber bushings that were known for being sloppy . The old sayings was a baseball bat in a rain barrol.

Sometimes for rod clearance, and always for the shifter bracket and the shifter body.
